Re: jdm bumper pole half switch ?? (iROCKtheSOHC)
it mounts on the center console by the e-brake, in one of the empty slots in our US. cars.
It's meant to control the bumper pole,. which the japanese cars have. I believe they put the pole up to see where their bumpers are when parking in tight spaces.
It could be useful to some drivers here in the states, but, mostly a bling factor.

does anybody have this pole on their cars, or maybe a pic to see how it works. so i guess it would be used to make sure you dont hit a curb or something ?

actually, the bumper pole switch and the half switch are two different switches. if im not mistaking, the half switch is for power antenas.

Doesnt mean you cant mount the pole on the other side of the bumper and yes what you said is correct dude. Its either a BUMPER POLE switch or a HALF ANTENNA switch not both

Sorry to bump this thread back up but today I got me an extra half antenna switch for use as a project on my car. Thing is it didnt come with the plastic pig tail plug and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get the plug from somewhere else? Like say a climate control unit plug might fit it or something??
If not I guess I can solder the ends but does anyone know which one I should use? Like which leg to solder and what not?
Thanks
