Amen, last I checked LS1 tranny's didn't support AWD.

the cars not even finished yet lol. I'm anxiously awaiting a debute as well. It's not the fact even that the rb or ls1 are better than each other. It's the fact that it's a sick build, clean as ****.

It is a single cam.
also, there's probably nothing stopping them from adapting the LS1 to the Nissan transmission and running 4WD. Strange things have been done before... for example, there's a factory five kit that requires you to mate an LS1, 2, 6 or 7 to a Porsche transmission because the motor is behind you.
Its all doable if you're gonna spend that kinda money doing something like that.
When the RB is capable of doing 1000 HP, I dont see the point...but I guess it makes cool noises.

Re: (Spec R)
i think it would be crazy to make a perfectly decent 4WD Skyline into a RWD... unless the GTS model was used...
RB25DE(T) = FR
RB26DETT = 4WD
my $0.02
btw, why would the ls1 need a bigger turbo when it has all the torque it needs... unless you just want an unstable dyno queen...

In other words.....total overkill.

Re: (ITRbroham)
it's strange to see all these builds with rx-7's, skylines, etc. etc. with american ohv and sohc v8's. i agree that it is an amazingly clean build, and took an ungodly amount of fab work but i really don't get that kind of thing. especially when the rb26dett is such an amazing powerplant to begin with. oh well, to each is there own. either way rb26 or ls1 it's to much car for me.

I think it's strange you mentioned ohv and sohc v8's. Clearly, still making power under the heads with good old push rods.
