well, the main thing ive seen with the 1.8t's, or golf's/gti's in general, is the electrical system.
since 2003+ they have fixed the main electrical issues, and that fuggin stupid plastic window gear issue, where the window falls into your god damn door due to the plastic gear breaking.
hah, thats really sad that it took them a few years to fix that, but either or, i got the best earliest year golf/gti/1.8t, 2003+ is the year to get to avoid electrical probs.

oh dont get me wrong, there's a reason i ended up going through sports cars such as domestics, dsms, etc, and then finally settling on a honda to finally make me happy???
haha big block ek = torque, reliable, gas milage if i can keep my foot light, cheap insurance, cheap parts, easy tuning etc etc etc.
i just wanted to clarify that there are plenty of great top notch german companys with plenty of nice parts available for that vw. im sure we'll see a few in the future right batmang?

That looks like Darth Vader's head with wheels. ******* dope . I don't like VW's much, but a well done car is a well done car, be it a Ford Taurus, a Chevy Corsica, a Honda Civic or a VW Golf.
Enjoy your new toy .
