how to remove pinstriping adhesive/smudges.
i have this problem...i removed the pinstripe and i got most of the adhesive off using an eraser from my pencil...only problem is...when i went to clean off the surface and then wax...there are smudge marks now left under the wax coat and wanted to know whats a safe effective way of removing those smudges without damaging or harming the clearcoat or paint.

Try an adhesive remover like goo gone/goof off/3m adhesive remover, but be careful with that stuff- since it's based on citric acid, it might eat away at your paint if you leave it on there for too long.
If that doesn't work, try a light polish or a paint cleaner. If that doesn't work, then try come polishing compound or some rubbing compound.
btw, did you notice any difference in the color under the pinstripes as opposed to the rest of the body?

nooooo, don't use a heat gun. it'll **** up your paint. try using a hair blow dryer on low for no more than 10 seconds.

yes unless you know what you're doing, you'll blister your paint Don't ask me how I know this
