How much to paint type r lip?
How much did you pay to have your type r lip painted. Im looking to purchase the comptech lip and have it painted by a local body shop, and dont want to pay too much. Also can the comptech lips be painted as is, or do they need to be prepared in any ways (primer,sand.. etc) any special paint needed?
Thanks for your time.

Re: How much to paint type r lip? (pdcdragon)
I was charged $200 cash for my OEM front lip (same as ITR) and OEM rear valances (98+ tegs).
remember, you get what you pay for, unless you are a close friend of the owner or something like that.. don't expect to get a great deal and have the paint match/not flake/not bubble.

Re: (FaS4wS)
i bought one of those cheap type r lips (and no, they dont fit well!!!!)
i just painted it black. so it cost me about $20 for the primer, paint, and clear coat.
it's not the best job, but it's good for its price

Re: (Commodore)
$150 is the price to have it done professionally.
I wouldnt lowball a paint project. It may look good when you get it back, but you'll see the difference in a few weeks to come.
