It was probably due to a poor, yet overly enthusiastic, choice of titling this thread. My girlfriend has never bought me car parts, we mostly just travel together on our occasions, and I’m certain she has never, unlike yours, even considered it. Aftermarket rims wouldn't click as a gift in our relationship and it would be a rather poor choice especially since even I don't take this hobby seriously. But if you guys have that kind of relationship then I guess that's pretty against-the-norm and unique! Yet it certainly doesn't prove your girlfriend as being any better.
