Great Shots with cheap cams

Re: Great Shots with cheap cams
have you ever owned a good camera?
a good picture can be taken with any camera, agreed..
but a picture with excellent quality, is taken with a quality camera...
if what you said was true, photographers wouldnt waste anywhere from 5-20k on setups to take photos... you think they buy that stuff for fun?

cheap camera's are great for being practical, can be taken places you wouldn't want to bring your $5k+ camera/gear, and you can still practice your lighting/angles with them, even if they don't come out absolutely perfect.
photographer skills > camera/gear any day of the week.

Want a cookie? Why spend $4500 on a camera if you say a $150 camera can take great pictures with the right user and editing?

Thanks for the reply.
I was shooting professionally for a while there and making some decent money. Had several other offers, but just gave it up after a while.
Still have all my gear, but don't shoot as much as I used to nor as much as I'd liked to.
I guess where I'm going with this is that I started with a point and shoot and slowly worked my way up.
Read, read, read & practice, practice, practice.

That's cool, but no need to say your camera cost twice as much as people's cars on here. It comes off as you bragging about how much money you have....
I've seen your pictures and know you take good pictures. I also remember you had your car stolen and definitely felt your pain as a fellow MR EG owner. I don't think I've done much for you to say "never have liked you"......

One last thing, I have no money. LOL. Wish I did. Everything I've ever owned has taken a lot of hard work and sacrifice to achieve. (My Honda still isn't right from the theft as I do not have the money to make it perfect).
Anyways, back on topic. Nice shot and nice car. ^^

"Has nothing to do with the camera nor gear, for the most part at least."
next page...
"i have a $4,500 camera"
i can understand that the photog is more important... but my argument was aimed at your earlier post, which you completely contradicted with the above one.
if anything, its 2 parts photog, and 1 part equipment.. that, i can agree on.
any monkey can edit...
