Flame Thrower kit

Flame Thrower kit
Yes I know...I must be watchin to much F&F, but hot rods did it way before. So does anyone have one? I would guess its just spark plug welded to exhaust, with power to it with a switch(off/on). One of the maufactures of these kits says its more than that.
Lets all pray to the Rice gods that this doesn't become the next trend, drunk bastards will be aiming flames at each other.

Even though how much I don't want to answer...
Full exhaust, header, test-pipe, cat-back, and raised fuel pressure/ or volume.
You will have flames shooting out your ***, I mean... Exhaust.

Re: Flame Thrower kit (FitCRX)
I used to see lowriders do that all the time I think they actually make kits for this, just know that your exhaust is going to turn purple after a little while. Maybe you can check out lowrider sites for this sort of thing. And yeah that would be funny.

Re: Flame Thrower kit (Honda)
in f&f they actually had the flames firing from the right (hidden) exterior side of the exhaust on all cars...none actually shot their own flames.
But a high fuel mixture will do it with the mods posted above!
theres also a video on the integra forum, about 25 seconds of a guy racing up and down the street shooting flames when he mashed on the gas hard

heh..if you are brave enough to do it yourself, go for it...
personally, I wouldn't do it on anything other than a hotrod..but that is just me..
oh, and about doing it yourself, I know someone who tried doing it himself (and yes, he was good w/ cars and everything), and well, I'll put it nicely...he is lucky he didn't blow the WHOLE car up....
so just be careful

Re: Flame Thrower kit (rage)
I've just recently done this.
Here's a little diagram I made. Really easy to put together and
people that say you need to have a test pipe for this to work are full of it
because I have a completely stock 2.7 with cat. shooting 3ft flames and could make the loudest Poping sound, you'd swear it was 45.

Re: Flame Thrower kit (Validity)
look in like superstreet or something they have one in there....it has a fuel line that take fuel and sprays it out of you exuast and burns it. its not like an old 57 chevy where you choke it rev and flip a toggle to the spark plug

Actually they're not full of it. They're talking about producing a flame out of the exhaust without artificial assistance. A test pipe would likely be needed.
