Default fixie bike inside (non-honda)

***i really have no idea where to put this***

i doubt there are many SS, and for that matter fixed gear bikers on here. but i very recently got into it and love it. i was initially drawn to it because in a way, it is a less expensive form of what i enjoy about hondas, they are clean and simple. being on a college budget it is much easier for me to build a couple hundred dollar bike than a honda, at least the way i want to. so enough with the jabbering, if you know what this is, i hope you enjoy it. if you dont, well, i hope you still enjoy it

very cool. I love fixed-gears. Don't have one myself, but love them none the less.

Fixed gear, no derailleur, and no brakes... thats real cycling.

no, its a road bike for me. i may put a front brake on but i am not sure yet. since it is fixed, you can slow yourself down and stop yourself with out breaks. so far i really havent needed them, but i am also not an idiot, so if i do i will put them on

thats a super clean build. nice and simple SS'er. i used to be into biking myself but rode urban. heres my old bike running SS with vertical dropouts......took a long time to get the right gear ratio so the chain wouldnt be took slack or too tight.

no gears because the area you ride in is pretty much flat. also on top of that you have a gear ratio that is very mild. you can climb hills with it, but at the same time you can still go pretty good on the flats.

there are no breaks because the chain ring(connected to the pedals) is directly connected to the gear on the rear wheel. in other words, if you pedal backward the bike goes backwards. so you can slow/stop yourself by regulating the pedals.

^^^^ thats sick man

i ride fixed! sorry for the shitty pic but its the only one i got right now, and im too cheap even to buy a hub and lockring so i just use old brake cable to tie off the rear casette so its fixed... note the way JDM advan bike tires

I've got a Peugeot bike that I got for 30 bucks, I painted the same color, its supposed to be my fixie project but the rear end was quick release and it kept slipping so I tried pushing it with my foot and it broke. So I guess I'm gonna buy a legit fixed rear wheel. I'd post pics but its embarrassing. Yours is super clean, exactly what I want mine to look like.

yea i went with the camo to give it a little kick, and it kinda fits the army/earth tone green.
