i was just looking through the pictures, and i came across some guy goin crazy on fake mugen bumpers. how can you tell? cause i got into an accident and i need to get a new bumper and i was thinkin about gettin a mugen bumper. so yeah. can anyone make some pointers?

1250 = perfect fitment, under body front diffuser/air ducts for brakes, r&d proven, real race parts, btw its not the same fiberglass please try to compare a japanese kit fiberglass to something like VIS, its like paypless leather and jimmy choo leather.......you gotta pay to play and off course you get what you pay for, you guys make it sound like 1250 you spend on that bumper is just the same the knock off one (its like trying to compare a nsx to a civic, saying their both hondas why pay more for the other, yet those two are completely differen types of honda, just like the bumper is a totally different type of fiberglass/craftsmenship)

250 = mikey mouse, cheap fiberglass that will crack even hitting a bug

it dont make sense to pay that much for a bumper if you daily drive yes, but if you have a track car that is trailered or garage queen show car, then the one with the most toys usually wins...

please put those things into perspective when you talk **** on something

I don't know a single track car with a mugen kit on it. i know some with some Home Cheapo homemade airdams and splitters though.

and show cars are...well, whatever.

thats cuz mugen is a japanese company and so japanese race cars run them...sorry but the US honda track cars dont come close to the japanese ones, and btw mugen race their own cars in super taikyu and also m&m honda run their stuff for their race cars, along with beams racing, prime garage, and among many other top tuner shops that race in japan....you my friend are one ignorant monkey....its like your trying to say basketball player dont run nike. honda racing and mugen racing, you cant really mention one without the other (just like spoon)

For one its plain stupid to spend $1200 on a bumper for a TRACK CAR so it's more practical to have a replica so you're not paying out your *** everytime you damage it...and two...how many of these same replica bumpers have you had that have cracked by hitting a bug? I sure as hell have yet to see a bad review of them getting cracked by these bumper cracking bugs.

damn, here we go with the debates..

well for starters (opening up a new can of worms) one of the reasons (among a lot) prices for the real deal stuff went up due to people making replicas. which sucks for real companies (such as vertex/carmake t&e etc)..

regardless i'm kind of inbetween on what people are saying, i'm in the middle. i guess that's why i just bought a spoon cf lip to put on my jdm front with oem bumper haha.

regardless i hate fake ****, but i don't see myself tracking the car with a 1200 dollar bumper

and for all you ppl trying hate on real deal ****! buy a fake one and see how happy you really are with the fitment and paint groves over the cheap fiberglass...you get what you pay for, end of story. you want perfection, then you gotta pay for it, there are no short cuts in life, dont try and tell me the rota/ebay/knock off short cuts are just as good compare to the real thing

but there are ppl who dont mind imperfection cuz it just makes them happy with what they got, thats fine whatever floats your boat, just dont be rocking it and try to diss on the real thing...

yeah, and like the most important part of the mugen race car is the bumper? i doubt they even spend 4 hours in the windtunnel with that thing.

they run the bumper for marketing purposes. so people like you can get a fat *** boner when you see one and want to spend 1250 dollars on it. Aerodynamics? maybe, but what the **** do you need aero for? you're driving 65 mph on the freeway...

i doubt that the bumper's form factor even does anything for them at speed.

also, these "almighty japanese tuners" are spending a lot more than 25,000 bucks on a honda race car...kind of puts a 1250 dollar front bumper into perspective. 500,000 dollar race car? what's 1250 bucks?

i didnt know its rice to buy real stuff that you like...(i personally dont have the bumper, nor do i plan on getting it), but i guess your trying to coin a new meaning to rice...guess its no longer APC but its now mugen and btw the super taikyu cars are in the 50,000-75,000 range not $500,000 (if you think of 500,000 think full CF Power House Amuse R1 Skyline, think Advan CF Altezza, not a super taikyu old school dc2 race car) know your **** ignorant monkey
