My opinion don't get a car that you have seen hooked up on forums you will never be at the level of these top builders on the forums . And get a car that runs good and doesn't have any problems cause allot of these sellers are selling their unfinished project / problem cars to people who know little or nothing about cars. Take this in to consideration and get the car that best fits your budget and don't get a car with a overly dramatic dream of having it in a magazine cause you will regret it .

i use to be like you asking for peoples opinions haha but in the end the dc is a better car StocK. obviously it really doesnt matter to you though because your planning on fixing it up correct?? swap etc.. so it basically matters on which one you prefer on its looks. we really cant choose your first car.

i myself have owned both and as of now i own a ej8, but if i had to pick fro ek hatch and integra ill prolly grab the integra, more of a sportier car compared to a ek

I know your looking at DC's or EG's but I think an EF would fit you better for a first car man.... I'm a big guy and I fit fine in mine with room to spare. Plus you can get a real clean one for around 3k.
Just giving you some more options take a look at mine it's pretty dope and I got it for 2 n half grand...

that EF isn't bad. really clean. i'm just not a fan of EF's that much yo.

I would say EK if you plan on modding alot. And DC if you plan on keeping it relatively stock.
EK w/ a swap and some suspension/rims is hawt.
However a DC has more power from factory and will look clean with rims/lip/drop

DUDE i own a civic. and I would say get a DC. Better platform. Comes with a B. Dont like b sell it and buy a k or J. Come with brakes. want bigger? sell em and buy another brake set up. You dont like ur seats? sell em and buy buckets. You see the car helps itself being built. Yeah buy an ek, and want a better motor? go look for a dc owner who ditched his b for a k. need better brakes for that ek you bought, yeah you get the idea?

^^^^well said !!!get a dc !!!! dont know about you but i never liked rolling up the windows with a crank handle.... dc = power windows.... ek = one buff arm from rolling up and down windows... unless u change doors of course..
