Default EG hatch exhaust setups..

Hey ppl..

I'm trying to find a decent straight-through design exhaust for my friend's EG6 hatch.. but finding it hard to find something that he likes. I suggested Spoon N1, but he didn't like its looks.. so i'm stumped as to what looks "mean" yet sounds nice and actually works well with a B20B setup (2.5" in diameter)

So.. could all you people with nice straight-through design exhausts (like A'PEXi N1, HKS Hiper, etc..) please post up pics?

Please don't forget to mention the model of your exhaust too. Thanks - your help is much appreciated

RSR GTII, Straight through, hardly any bends, no resonator, good sound, good hp gains!

People, I appreciate your comments, but please post pics!! Brands and models mean nothing to my friend (he's a beginner in the tuning world.. and so I'm basically modifying his whole car for him).. he wants to know what they actually look like on an EG hatch

I'm aiming more towards A'PEXi N1 or Bullet.. but if anyone else has some pictures or something else I should consider... please post post post!!

I'm very happy with my T1R system. Loud, but not bad loud. It's a heart warming sound.

i have been looking around for a rode race setup for my hatch, and the design of the RSR gt2 is awsome but im not gona spend that kinda money on it when i could do it my self.

i suggest ebay, i was checking it out the other night and they have a **** load of stright threw bullet style mufflers for hella cheap. and when you get a bullet/N1 style there isn't really anythign thats gona change the sound, a nice long resenator would do the trick on that end though

I reckon that adding a resonator or two in the mid-piping can help quieten down a straight-through exhaust considerably. My HKS Hiper exhaust on my evo has one huge resonator in the mid-pipe, and is suprisingly quiet for what it is..

A 2.5" N1 on a N/A without a resonator or car is ear bleeding loud, as are most mufflers. Throw a resonator or two inline and you should be fine.

Depends on what motor you have. I am running no cat with an H22 and 2.5 N1 and its not that bad.

Yes I too agree that it depends on the motor you have. I had a 2.5 inch apex N1 catback on my b series coupe and it sounded pretty good. I also had a similar N1 style muffler w/ 2.25 inch piping and a resonator on my old sohc and it sounded deep, but loud as hell.
