Brew Pics: The debut and RIP thread for my EK *Intense*
Well...
I traded my Integra for this car back in June. I was planning to keep it hush-hush until Nopi in ATL next month after I had time to give the car a makeover and make it my own. Sadly, that won't be happening now.
I was on my way home from work on Monday afternoon at about 5:30pm. I was going around a lefthand downhill turn on an interstate interchange, doing the speed limit (45-50). The interchange was concrete, so there were bumps between each slab. I've taken the turn a thousand times, but this particular time one of the bumps just barely got the rear wheels off the ground around the turn. The rear of the car jumped right, hooked, swung left and sent me straight towards the truck in the lane to my right. I went under the trailer and was dragged down the highway for a few hundred feet, as the truck was still doing about 45mph when I went under it.
I shouldn't still be here, but I walked away without a scratch. All I keep thinking is thank god I didn't have a passenger. You'll understand why...
It took three tow trucks to do the job: one to lift the trailer off the car, one to pull the car out, and a flatbed to carry the car.
Anyway, on to the pics:
And moving on to the wreck...
The beams went through the passenger door, the only thing that kept my car from rolling or being run over.
Here are the scary pics, once it was out from under the trailer.
I went out to the shop to take pics on Tuesday.
In the next two pics, you can see how glad I am I was alone in the car:
The roof hit my head and my legs are sore, but other than that I walked away without a scratch. I don't know how...

Damn, that makes me sad to see a nice hatch end up like that. But count your blessings you walked away unhurt from that. Im sure you'll bounce back with a new project soon enough.
Good luck with everything Jason.

By the way, you take some great photos and build some sweet cars. Dont let this getcha down.
on a side note, whats happens to all the goodies on the car now?
