bolting on a body kit
Hey everyone..well I"m getting ready to try to put on my blackwidow bumpers onto my 94 accord. I was wondering if there's anything i need to know about putting them on. I was looking at it..and it just looks like I'm gonna have to bolt the front bumper on into the fenders..and above the grill. and for the back..just bolt it in on the sides..and along underneath the trunk. Is there anything else i need to know about this? I was wondering, because a local shop where i live..said they charge like 150-200 to bolt both bumpers in for me..why would it be that high? So i'm just making sure there's nothing else to it that im missing. thanks for the help!

Get ready to put your flame suit on. Not trying to be mean but most of the people on this board are really not into that thing.

yeah..i realize that. I still thought I'd post. There's bound to be someone reasonable here..especially in the appearance/cosmetic section. As for anyone who flames..I dont really give a damn. Its immaturity on their part, not being able to deal with someone who has different likes/dislikes or opinions than them. I might like blue, they might like red..who gives a damn, I'm not gonna bitch at anyone for not liking what I like. Anyways...anyone who can help..its appreciated..thanx!

true... but still its an appearance forum... we h-t peeps gotta help each other out... u might be thinkin of gettin support bars for the back and the front bumpers... cause i know the bw kit is pretty big and the tend to flare out on the sides and tend to flex while driving fast and then will break... so a support bar in each side should be fine... to help hold the sides of the kit from wobbling and flexing...

ive seen it on a couple cars... the body shop who put it on my car thought it would help, and i agree with them... cause i know the rear bw bumper goes pretty low and it needs something to help support it on the sides... because what ive heard is that people with big rear bumpers have the air grab the sides bumper wrong and would pull the whole thing off when goin at high speeds... the support bars was just something the body shop but together for me using soem aluminum piping. and to your question about the location of the bars... the bars should be bolted on to the sides of the bumpers where they tend to be floppy and wobbly... mostly from the frame of the car to the side of the bumper... ill try to get a pic of it...
