Re: Back from the shop! EM1
wunfstgsr could explain it to you better as I always thought poor mans R (b16 head/b18c block), but it yields a bit higher compression and should produce a few extra horses.
Oh and about the drop, it will come soon. This was something that I didn't "want to do", but couldn't afford the down time rebuilding the stock motor. The car was untouched before this. I've owned it 1 year and all of this has taken place in less than 2 months.
But rest assure, more to come down the road. This is just the beginning. :-)

Compression is bumped from 10.205320397414986 to 10.65792991667382 the smaller cumbustion chabers from the p72 cylinder head with the p30 (JDM B16A) pistons will bump compression and help make much more hp than the b16a cylinder head and pr3 (USDM B16A) pistons, also the buddy club spec 3+ cams will be a geat cam for dd/track cause of its great low to mid range power and will feel great with the gearing fom your b16a trans.!
im guessing well over 180+hp,with his setup i dont see a lot of b16 motors making a solid 180 hp!
AMG are you using the gsr tb or your b16?
and what happened to the vc! it was so nice lol..

Thanks for the input. After a tune, that will be next on my list.
The pic above was from the original seller (wunfstgsr) before he sent me the motor. I'm currently using the b16 TB.

Thanks man. The motor now has just under 300 miles, so very close to getting a tune. Going to wait until 500 and then post #'s.

Get some suspension and don't cheap out on it either. You'll fall in love with your car all over again with some nice coilovers and a good sway-bar set up. The rest is set!

Thanks, I don't ever "cheap out" on anything I buy. I also don't spend my life savings on it either, it's still just a car. I'll probably look at the 1k range for suspension. In due time though, I still need to break in the motor so I can have her up on the dyno next week.
