i think i MAY have figured out what they are.

some kind of custom front ended mitsubishi....

called the minicab.

okay.....further info...i still don't know exactly what they are, though i do know that it is simply a kit for the front end that makes them look like an old school vw bus.

Actually I read in an article in the SD newspaper here at work the Volkswagen Bus' are still made in several countries. Several South American countries depend on this car.
