92-95 civic front end on del sol
searched and didnt find any actual answers:
my del sol was recently stolen and stripped of its front end, even sawed a piece off of my radiator core support...as most of you probably know civic parts are cheaper than del sol parts, so i have all the parts needed to put the civic front end (hood, bumper, headlights, corners, radiator support, fenders - from 92-95 civic, and fenders - from del sol) on the way
now - ive heard people say it bolts right up, but this cant be true...what i need to do is cut all 4 fenders in half (not directly in half, i know), weld the back half of the del sol fenders to the front half of the civic fenders so that they have a perfect fit (im not a complete idiot, i know i have to make precise measurements), and everything else should bolt right up after the radiator core support is welded on
am i right??
go ahead and flame me, ill take all the free bumps i can get until i get a real answer

there is going to be a lot more test fitting and aligning than you probably are taking into account.
The only other setback would be getting the mounts for the front bumper / bumper support. Feder liners lining up, headlight alignment and hood alignment.
Otherwise, you have the idea on how to do it.

You got the right idea about cutting and ****. You will also have to just cut up a delsol front bumber and maybe the top of a EG front bumper (around the headlights, and fender) I have never done this but I would think you could cut the delsol fender and re-attach it to the unit-body. Then slowely test fit the EG front portion of the fender. Once it looks nice and ligned up, throw a couple of tack welds on the outer surface. Remove the fender and weld from the inside, then smooth outer. Again this is all from my body-work knwoledge, not actual experience with this conversion. I would also check to see how the EG front bumper fits on the delsol before you hack the **** out of it. Good luck and make sure to have fun, take a break, smoke a bowl and calm down if it starts to **** you off!!

Re: 92-95 civic front end on del sol (HondaFanatic708)
WOW. does anyone else think the EG front on the sol looks like a sportscar? i didnt know it looked that good. with the width and lights, it really works. the EK front on del sol's and CRXs look too big, as that front is meant for a longer car i think. But the Del Sol with the EG front looks acually better than a EG. The EG looks wicked with the 2.2 CL headlights, like that one on import tuner.

Re: 92-95 civic front end on del sol (Redline96LX)
me and some friends done a del sol conversion on a 94 dx honda civic... it looks straight we arent through yet because the fenders wernt in perfect condition... but the way we did it was cut the actual front mount off the chassis and weld a delsol front end on to hold every thing it holds like stock and looks straight hood shuts good and headlights are in tight and straight looks good if i had a camera i'd take a pic for this...
