Use common sense.
You deal with someone local and cut off all negotiations with the guy in Japan. If he's butt hurt, oh well. Ain't like he's a good friend of yours anyway.

Think about it, this guy will give you a check for 15k, and you give that guy a check for whatever the rims and seats are worth (for example $1000). Why don't he just give you a check for $14k instead? Tell that guy to go kancho assasinate himself.
