*** BBS RM 012 Rebuild *** (more pics - less words)
Hi Honda lovers!
Sold ITR 'coz I've got bored...
...and bought (again) nice EG6 Hatch.
Well... I was sick of TE37 wheels so I bought BBS RM 012 for my EGG! This was the condition on the day I bought them for $500.
Not bad. Bit of polishing should do even more mint look and I'll be ready....
...but that's not me or if I say it's too easy. Beside. Those are 6,5x15 and I want 7,0x15 so outer rims had to go.
All 120 bolts taken out with care and gentle touch.
Nasty looking bolts.
Outer rims was the easiest part. Hammer, piece of wood, turn them up side down and all you need is 3-4 good strikes and they're of in no time. Don't worry. Ther're not made from butter so you wan't bent them. Not a chance.
I have no idea what to do with those 'old' 0,5" outer rims but I'll storage them jst in case.
Voila! My private Christmas tree.
TE's covers will do to keep my 2y son away.
All wrong. To much sealant all over the wheels. First some manual work.
More like it.
And now some powertools with rubber adapter action. Easy job all the way.
And almost ready for powdercoating. I still have to protect the lips where bolts come in with some masking tape - color or powdercoating is no go! Later...
I also cleaned a bit all of those 120 bolts. Damn. Took me entire Predator 1 movie.
Few days ago I got a new set of center caps - 12 peaces (metal rings, 'nuts' and 3D emblems).
Soon more to come! Still not sure if 7,0 will not stick ot of the fenders! Can't find any pics of EG with...
Other pics can be found on my cool BBS RM 012 Rebuild GALLERY >>> http://www.powerpig.net/bbsrm012rebu...12rebuild.html
