"Black Widow" rear body kit, how low does it hang compared to stock sideskirts (EJ1)?
I need a new rear bumper, my stock one is cracked and needs painted badly. I'm going to try to get a "Black Widow" painted.
I'd like to modify it to make it look like this.
I'd like to bring the back bumper down even to the sideskirts, i've always disliked how the back was so much higher than the sides, if anyone has pictures of this back bumper on an otherwise stock bodied car (aside from maybe a front lip), that'd be great.

You wont get any good replies so just ignore the bunch that says use your stock bumper.
I think the damn thing looks good do it.

Re: (MidShipCivic)
Still looks clean in my opinion, doesn't look overall much different than a rear lip, but like i said, i don't want a rear bumper that hangs low compared to the rest of the car. I'm considering a JUN front lip to go with it however.
I never liked that bar on those rear bumpers that they cut out, i'm surprized i found that picture of someone that actually did it, i was looking for different angles of it and was chopping it in MSPaint until i found that.

I would just get another rear skin and call it a day...but that is me and that doesn't help your thread .

That's not my style, when i replace something, i do it with something either better, stronger, or just different. It's going to cost about the same to do it either way, i figure "fug it", it'll give me a small project.

Find a cleaner, simpler body kit than that.
The only difference between it and stock is the sides hang down a little and i've always hated the way the back bumper of Civics are profiled higher than the sides and front.

Very understandable, but there are also a plethora of rear lips and other body kits that flow with a civic body much better than that particular one.
What year is the car?

yea you are prolly gonna say mugen has the good looking body kits. becuase they are so JDM. actually i havnt seen that one, but my neighbour had a white civic with a sick body kit. idk what it was but it looked awesome. the only thing you have to be carefull about body kits is the quality. they are usually wavy and ****. but good luck

Lips are becoming more expensive than whole rear bumpers. That's my car in the picture, as you can tell, it's spray painted and the other side is cracked.
I don't see buying another bumper and a lip when i can get a body kit back bumper like that for probably $50, about the same as a replacement with the right paint. No one has what i'm looking for in white though, so i just stuck a coat of clear on my bumper, still looks bad, but not as bad.

Umm...no, i wasnt going to say mugen because its "so JDM".
Theres a handful of companys that produce good quality body kits, even though body kits arent my personal thing ill be willing to admit that. Companies such as C-WEST (Not c-wings) make a decent body kit, and they flow well because many of their designs stick to the OEM-Like appearance, and not all nostril-y and as agressive as a lot of designs.
I know were talking about rear bumpers, but for an example of stying, even though it might not be my cup o' tea
