03' vs 04' vs 05' Accord
Are there many differences that I should know about between these? Between 03, 04, and 05?
I figured I come here and get the true owners details from my fellow HT peeps since they won't steer me wrong with BS info I'd find online, Thanks in advance fellas

The mid-model change was in 06. New lights, wheels, trunk lid, bumper, exhaust outlet, and DRL.
As a former owner of a 06 EX, it was the "most perfect" Honda I ever owned. Solid and never a rattle even thou we beat it DD. Oh, except for the rear brakes wearing out too fast. First sign of corporate cost cutting(?).

X2. There is "no difference" between 03-05 now that you are searching for a used car.

Re: 03' vs 04' vs 05' Accord
For performance(don't know if you're looking for the v6) you have to note that there was the small difference in HP output starting in 06 for the v6 Accords, and also 06-07 model years were the only one in the generation with the 6 speed available in the sedan model. According the trap times etc. over at veesixperformance.net there is a noticeable difference between the 03-05 and 06-07 6-6 coupe power.
I owned an '05 and it came with the crappy clutch master cylinder(there is a TSB on it), so they hadn't fixed that issue as of '05 model years apparently. I don't know of any technical differences between the three first years of the 7th gen Accords. I do know that I absolutely loved the car overall, and if I decide to buy a car in that price range soon, that is at the very top of my short list of possible purchases, even though and because I have already owned one
If you're looking into the four cylinders, AFAIK they aren't really slouches with the five speed, breaking into the 14s with basic bolt-ons, and running about a 15.7 stock, which is on par with EP3s/base RSX(due to the increase in tq with the K24). I am not sure if the significant increase in I4 HP came in 06 or for the 08 generation though.

I have an 03 V6, and I don't have any problems with it. I think the later models actually have more recalls than the 03 did.

In 06 there were some subtle and some not so subtle changes. My favorite changes being the much improved rear brake lights and bigger brakes up front for the 4 cylinder models.
If you're looking to buy, go with the 06-07 models. IMHO They are the best accord ever made. I liked it so much I bought one

Re: 03' vs 04' vs 05' Accord
Which model were you looking into buying? IIRC there are few, if any "recalls" for the Accords. What Honda does, which is exemplary of an arrogant company, is simply release a TSB for everything that is documented to go bad... even if it is across the entire VIN/year range. There are a couple TSBs for the 6-6 Accords, including the clutch master cylinder, which is known to fail, and the third gear pop-out. What Honda tells you, is if your car is under warranty, they'll fix it... and if it's not, they tell you they are "unable to recreate the problem" or some other line of BS, or that you're 100% liable for something that I'm sure the domestic companies would simply recall to save face.

Just got a 2003 Accord Coupe 2.4L and was wondering if there were things that I should keep an eye out for and also if there were any mods I could do to increase performance without spending so much. would really appreciate the help.

Re: 03' vs 04' vs 05' Accord
The 04 added XM radio, the 03 didn't have. In 05 I think the V6 hybrid was introduced, and the tail lights went all red. That's the only differences I know of. They claim the 03-04 models have more transmission problems, but I have been seeing more and more 06 models with the same problems, now that the miles are adding up on them. My 03 V6 transmission is doing better than some 06 V6 transmissions with less miles on them. All I can say is change the transmission fluid often, and don't abuse it, regardless which year it is.

Re: 03' vs 04' vs 05' Accord
I have an 03 v6-6 with navi and notice that it doesn't say "premium audio system" on it like other 04+ accords with navi. does it have to be an EX-L? i think mine is just an EX.
i wonder how much better it is.
