Post '06 2.4L Accord EX CEL/Rough Start

Hi all, first time posting, so any tips would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a 2006 2.4L Accord EX with 156K. After having it for about a week the temperature was spiking on one drive and the CEL came on. I checked & filled the anti-freeze and the light went off and no issue. About another week later the CEL came back on but the temp was fine. I stopped at AutoZone & the code for the car was p0303 cylinder 3 misfire. There are times when I start the car & it idles rough for about 30-60 seconds then seems to idle & run as it should. During this warm up the exhaust odor seems to have a slight scent of anti-freeze. There have been a few times when the CEL is flashing at startup, then goes to solid after the rough idle ceases. The only similar thing I found after searching is this link - https://honda-tech.com/honda-accord-...nking-2971223/ I have not attempted any of these remedies as of yet, any advice would be great!

Thanks for looking,

Derek

Easiest to do would be to first test #3 coil. Swap with #4 coil and check error code for a P0304.
If you come up with P0304 then coil bad.
If P0303 still shows up then check #3 plug for "normal look"

From your description of the low coolant/scent of coolant in exhaust look for coolant burning signs on plug.

Thanks for the pointer, I was attempting to do this & check the plug, but when i went to remove the plug there was a soft feel when turning the plug with the 5/8" socket & I couldn't get the plug out...It took me forever, but i got the socket itself off the plug, but I cant see any evidence of the plug being stripped down the plug tube. Any suggestions or ideas?

Update: I was able to get this plug out along with the other 3 without issue...reviewing the prior owners service records, these pigs appear to have been replaced at 123k & the car currently has 160k. I would not expect these plugs to be worn out in just 37k, but they appear very dark/black in color with oily residue on one of the plugs. Is this something where I can replace the plugs and be good Togo, or is this indicative of other problems? There is also residue that appears to be dry oil working its way up from the bottom of the porcelain on the plug. Thanks for looking, I'll be researching in the meantime.

Oil leaking into cylinder can cause misfire, Was the oily plug #3?
What was the result of testing the coil by swapping 3-4?

Plugs should normally look brown/tan.
Take a look at some of the online pictures of plugs to get an idea of what you are seeing.
Verify that you have the correct plugs installed. Look for OEM type.
Also that the plugs thread in correctly( straight) and tighten to correct torque.
