Default Why are Accord headlights so dim?

Why girlfriend has a 98 Accord EX V6 and her headlights are too dim. I always ask if her headlights are on at night because I can't tell... do you guys have this problem, too? Any simple fix-it recommendations without going to HID's? By simple recommendations, I really mean CHEAP recommendations. LOL.

Has she ever changed the bulbs? I know my mom's 98 the bulbs were melted and disfigured, and there was a lot of black on the bulb, just a suggestion.

Really? Maybe I can take a closer look at them... but what if they're intact? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

just remember don't touch the bulbs, you'll make them burn out really fast.

oil in finger that leave behind after you touch the bulb make it burn out..
anyway..try 9006-9005 conversion..
removing the cap in front of the blubs..
slightly increase the Wattage of the blubs you using might help too..

perhap adjusting the height and left/right of the headlight..
sometime aiming too hight or too low might take away alot of light..
well, making the availble light not usable..

Anyone know how to do this? I personally own an Integra, and so I've seen plenty of threads about this conversion, but I never read it.... I'm primarily focusing on HID's myself... and so I don't want to spend all that much time on her car... I rarely get to spend all that much time with her... and so I'd rather be working on my girl, then her car... LOL. BTW, these are OEM bulbs, tool.

if you look at a 9006 and a 9005 side by side the only different is the silver cap.
without the cap=little more light, glare.
to fit a 9005-9006 is to cut the little tab..
You'll see what i mean when you got both bulbs side by side.
is a piece of cheese cake!.

my best suggestion is to get a headlight harness. this way you increase "actual" voltage to the bulb. This is because if you run your bulbs with your stock wires, even if you buy 100w bulbs, only 35w are still goin into them. But the harness increases voltage to the bulbs, therefore instead of 35w goin in, you get the full 100w! haha! email me if you have questions

Im assuming your not an electrical engineer of any sort
A harness will not increase the wattage, that has to do with the bulb. Think about it.... When you put a 100watt bulb in your desk lamp at home do you have to change the lamp wiring????? No, because the bulb determines the wattage used.
But, a upgraded harness is a good idea when using high wattage bulbs though, because it can handle the higher load, but doesn't create more wattage, just handles it better.

Yeah, This cat is right, because a bulb is just a resistor in a circuit. That is why a bulb gives off light, because there is electricity flowing through it causes the element to heat, and the more resistance the filament provides the greater the light output. The larger wires will allow a lower resistance to the flow of electricity and will probably not suffer from over-heating and melting as easily. That wouldn't really be a concern in most cases though.
