hydraulic is self adjusting. with cable u have to adjust periodically........i have seen cable seize up internally thus making pedal really stiff ,

I don't know about Honda but some cables (VW) are self-adjusting. It's a little ratchet mechanism where the adjusting barrel would have been. Even so, the auto-adjuster can get dirty & screw up.
Smoother operation compared to cable friction in it's housing.
Maybe more design-flexibility for where the cable has to lead thru the engine bay. You can make sharp bends with a hydraulic tube but not with a cable.
