Default Vtec controllers??

Im lookin to get a Vtec controller but I dont know which one to get. I know that the Apexi SAFC NEO is the newest and probably the best but i really dont wanna spend $300+. Has anybody ever used the buddy club controller or the AC autotechnic controller?

i had a buddy club on my 99 LX. Once hooked up, it worked great for about 5 minutes. Then car wouldnt shift right, engine light popped on, throwing a controller code. Of course this could have been cause myn is an automatic trans. But never really figured it out and took it off. But for 5 minutes i was happy with results. Buddy club. Good , cheap controller.
