Your car would look illegal with blue ground effects.

Yeah. There's going to be a lot of people that would pounce on you and flame you if this was during daytime hours.

With Ebay parts, you usually get what you pay for. If you get a ground effects kit for $20 for all the way around, it's probably a piece of crap. The good stuff on Ebay is name brand stuff that was used by other people and now they're trying to sell it.

As far as installing it, I've never done one, so I can't tell you much. I'd recommend that you have basic knowledge of electricity and wiring, or have someone to help that does before you try and install it.

Do whatever you want to customize, it is your car after all. But like I said before, I wouldn't be surprised tomorrow if a bunch of people come in here calling you a ricer and telling you how gay ground effects are.

First off expletive haters. I have a set of code LED underbody lights on my car. I would highly suggest LED's over neons. I have the set that is a million colors, which that's like the fade in and out of kind, it has like 18 standard colors, and so many god damn things it can do its ridiculous.

LED's just have one wire running out of each of the tubes, and they all hook into this black thing, and the black thing connects into the power invertor and all that does is just run to a power and ground, clean things up and your done. You have a remote to control it. Now of course, this is my kit. I did not want the damn switch to turn on and off. Its nice walking up to your car in a dark parking lot and people are around and you can flick them on and people start like pointing and going crazy... Afterall you said you want it for show, which is exactly what underglow is for.

Anyways, tips in installing, do not use zipties, I tried that my first time round. They came flying off. This time round I installed them with the supplied screws and hangers. I have a lip kit so it was easy to hide them. Might be harder on your car but either way.. hide them, they look hideous when you can see the tube.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me, I would love to help.

Oh and you aren't a ricer for underglow if done properly.

Edit: Your link isnt even for the actual lights, its for the remote controls and wiring. If you buy lights, get it all together, otherwise it probably wont work with a different set of lights. If a kit is less than 80 dollars its usually junk.

Good luck

personally i think its a waste of money, but i'm not into the show stuff. so to each his own in my book. the only set up i've ever seen that was unique was a tc with shaved doors. he used LED bulbs so everytime and there were wired into the door so whenever he opened it about 6 lights would light the ground just outside the doors. i think you could spend that money on other **** for your car but like i said to each his own. do what you want not what a bunch of guys like me with too much time think you should

gonna need to jack the car up to get underneth it, need a drill, some extra wire, and know how to wire up stuff. Not too hard, but the kits off ebay are junk, and they look really choppy on the car, had one, took it off a week later it looked so bad, if you want a kit go to a shop, pay the little extra and it will look good. As far as blue, not legal while your riding, not sure how the laws are where you live, but in sc cant have um on while your riding, if your in a parking lot or something its fine. I would recommend white, looks clean and nice. But if you want the kit off ebay, its not too hard, but your gonna beed some extra wire, and patience.

I'd agree with the previous comments . . . ebay probably junk and LEDs would be the better option. Personal opinion on the subject, though, is that this is just another mod that's gonna suck more power from the battery and put more strain on the alternator. Unless you have a crazy, tricked out show car competing for top prizes, put your hard earned money into something you might enjoy more often: comfy steering wheel, short shifter, ipod connector, hell anything other than a cop-magnet! But whatever makes you tingly in the pants, i guess.

I used to be a fan of neons back in the day. If your going to get a kit, dont get an LED kit, Get a nice neon kit. StreetGlow is still the leader in auto neon. They have what you need to get anything lit up I would suggest the Gold Series Under car kit.

Heres a linkhttp://streetglow.com/site/products.sg201.php

And, to all you haters. Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean that you should hate on the guy. We are all here to learn more about our cars, and how to modify/repair/maintain them, so lets help this guy out. Just my $.02

It would be PIMP, but then you would need to invest in a crushed velvet exterior and interior.

This isnt car domain, get out of here with you neon talk. It has no technical aspect at all. Find a different forum.

The thread's drawing complaints and reports.

People are intolerant of ideas that do not fit into the marque forum's narrow, technical focus.

You can post again in Appearance Forum if you want.

Personally, I do not think you should have undercarriage lights, for whatever the old guy's opinion is worth.
