FYI
Gates makes the OEM timing and balance belt for Honda.
Honda also uses the Koyo tensioners.
The water pump is outsourced and I have had no issues with any kit by Gates
Rockauto: GATES Part # TCKWP226 131.79

Re: Turbo Vics 1995 Accord LX Wagon build/revival thread
got a little bit of work done today. i lined up the passenger side fender better and the two passenger side doors. i soldered the connectors for both of the bumper lights. they are mitch matched. someone did a hack job on them. i found where my brake line leak was comming from. of course it was the passenger rear line that crosses over the fuel tank. i had to drop the trank to get at the line. completly rotted. i was debating if i should drop the tank to install my xenocron 255lph fuel pump. so i got the fuel pump set up on the hanger. the hangers for the fuel tak where rusted and i couldent get the botls off. i had to drop the rear sub frame and and remove the brackets that hole the straps.
car is rotting all over
leaking line
i should replace these
these too
tank out
factory pump
comparing strainers
comparing pumps
i reused the factory bottom cushing
new pump with strainer. kept the plastic bang on the strainer to keep it clean
new pump on holder
is this the correct bulb for this, cuz the other side is smaller

Re: Turbo Vics 1995 Accord LX Wagon build/revival thread
so i put the fuel pump in and started to put everything back together, that rotted fuel line snapped. i am going to cut out all rotted sections and replace it with some claps and fuel hose.
i started doing some of the tune up stuff. found more proplems. the right side cam cap was chewed up. looked like oil starvation. i cleaned out all the metal shavings the best i could. i am not to concerned, hopefully this motor is comming out in the spring. i was getting alot of oil in the soark plug holes so i replaced those seals. installed cap plugs rotor, wires, pvc. the old coil wire was practically sheared off. that what was causing my hard start/weak spark.
once the motor is running again i will flush the oil and coolant. then ill do the timing belt, balance belt, tentioners, water pump, thermostat, all the seals, put on the adjustable cam gear, and start plumbing the turbo lines.

yeah, it was chewed up pretty good. but i am only going to use this for a few months. it worked good before i opened it so i am not too worried. spark plugs holes where leaking like creazy, but oil wasent leaking past the spark seal rings.

replaced a bunch of the rotted fuel lines yesterday. it was cold and i was agrivated so i dident take any pics. i used my tube cutter and i cut the banjo fitting on the top of the sending unit. then i unhooked the junction that was mounted to the frame rail. i followed the fuel line back to where it was solid. cut it with the tube cutter and removed some of the plastic coating. i went to auto zone and got some fuel line hose and clamps. the hose was rated for 6.9 bar so i believe that over 100 psi. hooked everything up. nothing leaked. still running into issues with fuel delivery/pressure. not sure if i have to keep priming or what. minor issue, not too worried.
basically i bypassed alot of this

Well, that's kindof a shame, but I can't blame you. There's still alot of rust on the current wagon, and it will probably be less work swapping everything else than trying to repair all the rot.

^^ x2. Sucks that you've put so much time into the current wagon just to start all over again. But all that rot is ridiculous, I certainly wouldn't be comfortable with it. I feel like I'm in pretty good shape now since my sedan is rust-free. As always, good luck. Keep us posted. I meant to tell you awhile back that after reading your thread, when I did my front end rebuild I used your idea to mount the FMIC. Turned out great.

played with the new wagon today. there was no evidence out antifreeze/oil mixture on the dipstick, oil cap ir radiator cap. let the car idle for about 30 mins needled did not move and the fans where on. i suspect the last owner overheated it, removed the thermostat and wired the fans on all the time. i wont have more day light time to check all of this until saturday.
