Start of my CD6 project!!
Picked up a white 95 LX sedan from my uncle, @ 165k miles. He was first owner since 11 miles, drove it for a bit, gave it to his daughter, she was drunk and scraped the side of the car with a pole (rear passenger door), interior was dirty, ugly hub caps, dent in trunk from her ex backing up into a tree. other side of rear door I dont know how you get a dent popping out, but that's what it looks like.
So, this wkend, I finally get to work on her. Getting terrible gas mileage, about 14mpg so I decide to do a quick tune up. Changed oil/filter, and pull the spark plug wires only to find it drenched with oil. wow, surprised this damn thing still ran with that much oil in the plugs. lol Great, will have to perform VCG replacement in the near future when I have more time. In the mean time, major body work has to be done to prepare for paint shop.
These were the doors on her when I first got her:
DIY Shaved molding holes:
These are the doors I'm replacing her with...preshaved!!!:
Work in Progress pics, preparing for paint job:
Painted inside of trunk:
$75 for interior detail/shampoo carpet etc. should have taken before pics, but it was too dirty and I couldn't stand driving the car like that.
Diy Door jams:
Finished the day like this:
Quick wash to get off all the sanding/debris:
Sneek peek.... Picked up a set of these:

I planned on doing an H22 swap, but havent really researched anything about it. As far as cost, labor, etc. I was originally building this car for my gf for a daily driver, so she can get away from her civic, but we'll see.
Man, I cant wait to get it out of the paint shop. I'm giong there today the bring one of the rims there so they can closely match the CW as possilbe to the real deal.
Anyone link me to some depo black housing headlights+corners for cheap would be great!
Also, looking for some coilovers.
thanks

Not if they are using a controlled environment paint booth.
If they have an open air garage it will affect it somewhat. But if they are experienced at painting without a booth they would know the adjustments to make. IE crank up the heat and keep the doors closed, with no extra cost to you. If they are a reputable bodyshop you should have no worries

Re: (Fern413)
Ok, so the verdict is in......
i was very impressed with the paint job.
1. Being a single stage paint job it came out rather very nice.
2. I expected a lot of orange peel for some reason, and the orange peel was a lot better than most automakers stock paint that I saw.
3. Although the CW NH-0 color code did not come out exactly the way I wanted, a little darker the color looks pretty damn good!
4. A quick turn around time 4days, I'm not going to complain.
5. I left my broadway mirror in there, and someone took it!!!
SoOoO, the moment of truth:
Sneek peek at the front:
I like how the front looks: Although I need to take off the front bumper and repray some things black which I didn't tape up
Orange peel was very minimal
I love the way the back looks. Shaved emblem, painted lip with the red tailights!!
Next step is to get some springs or coilovers. some dude is selling some neuspeed race springs around here for about 60 bucks, but I think that will be too low. Website says 2.25" drop can anyone confirm this with a picture or let me know how much of a gap if any with 15" rims and what profile tires (195/50/15 or 205/50/15?).
I'm not sure how the rims would look on the car, I'm gonna put the rims next to the car tomorrow and take some pictures and maybe photoshop it to see what it would look like with a little drop.
Sigh, I'm so tired!!!!
