IMO, lowering springs can be very uncomfortable ride. Coil overs are more expensive now, but in the long run, you'll like them better. My friends that started with lowering springs ended up swapping for coil overs because they are fixed. Coil overs could be adjusted for street or track. It's really dependent on what you want. Look at the various sites and read customer reviews.

well before u worry about springs or coilovers i would look into a good camber kit. after that then worry about it. and u definatly want coilovers not springs. its worth the wait to save more $ for the coilovers. springs are stiff as hell at 1st then when they break in u bounce like crazy. coilovers tend to not loose there strength. they stay they same ride always

How big are your wheels and how low are you looking to go? If you go 18's then you may need a camber kit. But not really familiar with cambers since I only have 15's. The lower the car, the more weight you put on the suspension. As mentioned by accordmatt, I would save the extra money to go with coil overs. You wouldn't be disappointed IMO.

There are 1,000,000,000,000 posts on suspension setups.
If you are looking for low cost the CHEAPEST route to go would be Skunk2. However, it can be a rough ride. I would spend a little extra dough and get Ground Controls with either Tockicko Illuminas (my setup), Koni yellows, or KYB AGX. Don't go with anything other than that unless you go full coilover. BTW, if you go with Ground Control make sure you realize they have THREE different perches and only work with certain struts.
Camber kit is a strong recommendation.

Running 18's right now. But gonna put stock when winter comes around. I wanna save up for a descent coilover and shocks and put them on after winter. As for camber kits, I wanna know what exactly i need to run on 18's and lowering the car.
