Shifting becoming harder and harder....whats going on?
97 ex
So, I get in the car today and all of the sudden I have to push all the way to the floor on my clutch to shift. As the day goes on, it becomes harder and harder to push the shifter into gear. I barely made it home and it is now sitting in my garage. There are no leaks AND the transmission and clutch were replaced about 7 months ago at a trustworthy shop.

Also, when the transmission and clutch were replaced all the fluids were properly put in. How often do I have to change the fluid?

Clutch master and slave cylinder operating correctly?
Did the "trustworthy" shop put 90w gear oil in your trans by mistake?

How do I know if the clutch master cylinder or slave master cylinder are operating correctly?

When I press down on the clutch, I have to pull it back up or else it will just stay on the floor.

theres got to be a leak in the system then. Either the clutch disc is gone, or there is no fluid in the system.

mine did the same thing and it ended up being the slave cylinder that was dead.its either the master or slave cylinder.if the clutch system had a leak you would notice that you have to keep adding in clutch fluid.if the fluid stays at the same level you dont have a leak.

yeah, go dash diving and see if there is brake fluid leaking out the back of the clutch master where it comes thru the fire wall

the resavoir ^^ (looks a little low)
but the clutch master isnt leaking (i dont think). the brown rust around it makes me wonder but there is no wetness anywhere under the dash
maybe the slave master? how do i check for that?

the rubber accordian shapped bonnet on the slave cylinder ripped and that allowed it to leak in my 94. might want to check that (its easily accesible from the front, just left of the exhaust mani)

Check the slave cylinder. I would put my dinero on that before the master. If you don't see any fluid on the outside of the slave cylinder, pull on the little boot around the piston and I would bet some fluid will come out because the seal is blown.
