O DON'T WORRY, YOU will see damage if you continue. You JUST HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET, AND IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY HAVE TO BE THE ENGINE THAT SUFFERS. OF COURSE Your tranny is being raped for one. And the load you put on the pump, fuel injectors, electrical supply like dizzy, Ignition coil. Your asking for it, so unless your planning on blowing the motor or failing somewhere I wouldn't worry about redlining until you build the engine or another. There are some stock high rev swap options like the F20b stock at 8 to 9k rev limit. Research

Agreed completely. You may do something once and go away from it like ok my car is still running, we are good. Here is a really simple example. Lets say you run out of gas, minus the fact of hey there is a gauge that tells me this already. So you ran out of gas but you don't know it, like maybe the gauge is broken. So you try to crank the engine a few times. And guess what happens, all the dirt and such in the very bottom of your fuel tank that has been sitting down there for a while is now being suck into the fuel lines and clogs the filter and injectors. So then you figure out that you now have an empty tank, put some gas, and after a few crank, VROOM! Yay, my car works. But guess what, your overall engine performance just plummeted. Just like redlining your engine to 9000. There were negative effects to doing that, I promise.

havent seen dirt at the bottom of my tank and i have 90k miles on it. and there is normally a pre-filter thats attached to the pump. So not everyone who runs out of gas just sucked up all the dirt in their tank if thats the moral of this story. sorry bro bad example. this thread needs to be blocked.

Well depends the actual gas you are buying, and the prefilter is called the sock. Just an example though.
