Rear defroster not working
The rear defroster just stopped working suddenly. I have checked the fuse and its good. Any ideas? I have not noticed anything else not functioning properly.
Thank you for the help.

Couple of things.
1) Make sure the plugs on either side of the window are plugged in (little access clip doors are halfway up that rear panel)
2) Visibly check the line s to make sure there's no breaks and if there is buy one of those repair kits
For some reason only 3 of my lines don't work and I can't find the problem with them, so best of luck to you.

Re: (TheMuffinMan)
My rear defroster..only the first 8 or 9 lines work, then nothing. I checked power at the plugs and only the left side plug is getting power. I checked the fuse and it looks like the def. fuse has some corrosion on it on the inside in the little window. All the other fuses are nice and shiny. I'm not sure how this would only cause one side to work and not the other. I'll try swapping fuses and see if it works, but if not I may have to start ohming and tracing wires....

Re: Rear defroster not working
Just to let anyone know. I found the issue. I checked the fuse in the engine bay it waa good.
Checked the relay under passenger glove box it was good.
No voltage to rear defrost.
by unplugging the right side connector to the window antenna (the little black box with two connectors in the trunk mounted up top) I was getting 14 volts. The connector on the left side goes to the rear defrost wire that plugs into the window up top under a little cover that slides back towards the window to take off. There was no voltage.
the left connector that goes to the radio window antenna had melted and shorted itself out. I used channel locks to remove the brown plug and it disintegrated. The wires were melted together. I cleaned them and wrapped the two spade connectors with electrical tape and cleaned the prongs for the connectors. Plugged them back in and low and behold I had voltage to the rear defrost problem solved. I assume the wires melted due to somebody turning on the rear defrost over and over again.
i know this is an old thread but hopefully it helps somebody. CHECK LEFT CONNECTOR ON RADIO ANTENNA BOX IT IS LIKELY MELTED TOGETHER.
