Re-learn? 1990 accord
I could'nt find an answer for this.... does my accord need to "relearn" after having the batt. Disconnected?
I disconnected the negative terminal on our 1990 accord lx(stock) for some needed inspection/repairs. Now that the vehicle is ready it needs to be smogged, but I cannot drive the car thru a few "drive cycles" since the tags are expired. Will I fail smog with only a mile's worth of driving since reconnecting the batt.?
All searched results were for other generations accords, so I needed to ask.

If my memory serves me correctly. ObdI does not store that kind of information. Later obdII models did and for sure the new CAN systems store all of the information for sure.

Re: Re-learn? 1990 accord
Thanks for the replies...
Hmmm, I was always under the impression that all electronically controlled engine management system required some sort of relearn process once all power was removed. Some taking minutes others miles to complete.
So being that the vehicle is obd1, It shouldn't fail smog as a direct result from the battery being disconnected?

Correct. OBDI does not get hooked up to the machine to be read. Only a sniffer. And timing check etc.
