my car got stolen recently
and i wanted to put my stock radio back on
soo it said code with red light blinking...
i called honda and they gave me a code...
but it dont work at all....it just keeps saying code...
i tried disconnecting the battery negative for like 15 mins and tried it again
but nothing yet
idk whats up
You turn the ignition to accessory 'on' so the radio is on, then enter the code. Once the code works, you can turn it off. Even if the radio didn't accept the code after 3 tries, you do not have to leave it on.
the thing is that i clicked my key once for the raido to be on...i tried it already and it doesnt work at all..
i did the battery thing and nothing...
i called honda 2 times and they said thats the code for that radio....
soo i am saying should i leave the key on witht eh radio on for a hour?>
You do need to leave the key in the accessory position with the radio ON (showing the word "CODE") for an hour before you attempt to enter the code again. I had the same problem (I was dyslexic when entering the code).
I'll apologize ahead of time - what part of "you have to leave it on for an hour" don't you understand? Driving, not driving, driving then leaving it in the accessory position, it doesn't matter. As long as the radio is powered for at least an hour continuously, it will then let you enter the code. Stop trying to second guess it - just do it.
All the forums I have read are complaints about lack of codes I have this same problem and couldnt find the manual anywhere thank u for posting it on you have answered all my questions hopefully it works if not I'm buying A new radio lmfao not dealing w this evertime my battery is removed
