honestly, thats basically the only way you can get a code I believe. I could be wrong, but I went through the same thing....I ended up buying a deck because I couldn't get a code.

If it is not in the pouch with the manual in the glove box then u should go back to the dealership and ask them to get u the code cause f ur battery every goes dead or u have to disconnect ur battery u will need it to make ur stereo work.

Search - people ask this all the time. You'll see several suggestions for where to look. Honda never put the code anywhere except on a little plastic card in the owner's manual pouch. But some dealers wrote the codes in different places. Sometimes on the housing of the radio itself, sometimes inside the fuse box, stuff like that.
Also I think they charge $80 or whatever, to take the radio out of the dash so they can read the serial #. Take it out yourself & read the serial #, then some dealers will get you the code for free. But they might want you to prove it isn't stolen.

I had to do the same thing, all you need to do, is take out your radio and read the serial # off of it, then call the honda dealership and they should give it to you for free, they did for me at least. Hope that helps. later.

My '99 Accord LX doesn't have a radio code. Out of curiosity, is it something that you can just sit that and try number after number till you get the right one? And what cars had radios with a security code?
