Re: Radiator Leak (BLKFLSH)
oh alright thanks. how much do you think a good estimate price would be to pay for a new radiator + labor? and would it be easy to replace yourself?

Check around for prices. If you want to do it yourself (shouldn't be too hard), get a repair manual (there are procedures for coolant refills and such). They have cheap manuals at Auto-zone, Advance, or you could go all the way and get a factory tech Helm manual if you plan on keeping the car for a while. The manual can pay for itself with one trip to the dealer averted.

About $115 for a good aftermarket radiator; and it is a pretty easy job. 10mm sockets and wrenches.
I usually take the hoses off at the engine/trans connections and leave the fans on, but unhook the connectors, then drag it up and out as one big chunk.
Swap the hoses and fans on a work bench.
While you have the coolant empty it's a great time to throw in a fresh T-stat, very cheap insurance
When you refill the coolant remember to open the 12mm bleed screw at the T-stat housing to burp the air out of the block.
FWIW I have used the New Honda type 2 coolant in my old yota 22r pickup; I saw a noticeable drop of the temp guage when I changed to it.

On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, replacing a radiator is about a 2. Just make sure it's actually the radiator and not just a hose. Also, never use stop leak. It'll just gum up your water pump

ebay sells good radiator too. I bought 2 of them so far, no leaks. And my dad drives most of time everday. Hold up nice.
I paid around $80-$100 for the radiator.
I also changed the Thermostat and any hoses that is cracked or worn out.
