Default Questions about my H22...

I just got done helping a friend with his new H22, and I got one as well out of the deal.

Now since the Prelude has intermediate shaft, would the stock Prelude axles fit to my car, or do I use one and the other. Help me pleeeeeez. Also if there's anything else I would need to do, post them too.

Basically the switch is F22B1 Automatic, to H22A Manual.

I need a clutch pedal assembly, the cylinders, the shifter assembly, cables, etc, anyone got that they can sell or donate, or know where I can get them for cheap?

Thanks to anyone that helps out.

You can pick & choose from this: '96H22a to '94 Accord LX

http://accordinglydone.com/for...59727

-all Prelude mounts (which are tougher than the Accord ones) will fit except front - you need accord mount and bracket
-most people say to replace the driver side mount with custom...not needed...just some persuasion
-power steering line was easy-took H22 fitting and cut at first bend, tig-weld onto Accord line
- if you use the Prelude wiring harness you'll hate yourself - just add to your F22 harness.
- I kept the H22 EGR, and cut the connector from the H22 harness
- had to switch EGR and O2 sensor ECU wires
- JDM Prelude has 2 O2 sensors...one before the cat, and one in the cat...I just wired the one before the cat...keep in mind that the Prelude O2 sensor has a different connector from the Accord...so you'll need the Accord sensor to work with the wiring harness...unless you want to do more cutting and soldering (prob not).
- used Prelude shafts - much stronger - the splines are about 1/16 of an inch too long - get some industrial strength washers, and grind if necessary to fit onto hub
-found it was MUCH easier taking the engine out the bottom of the car - did it without removing crossmembers
-didn't bother removing tranny lines from bracket - bracket will bolt directly onto M2A4
- M2A4 has 2 hoses coming out the back of it...they feed into the steering rack of the Prelude, so that when you're going 130MPH(+-) pressure is fed into the rack to stiffen steering - just connect the hoses.
-Accord or Prelude accessory belts will not fit - used Napa part no 25-060425
- used MAP sensor from Prelude
- try to keep as much of the emissions crap as you can....some of it you'll need to cut. Make sure you label your vacuum lines on both engines before starting.
- H22 downpipe is way longer than the F22...the hanger that goes around the F22 cat supports the flex pipe of the H22 downpipe....no extra hangers needed....you'll need to modify your exhaust a little.
- neither Accord or Prelude air box will fit - get something with a higher flow!
- If you REALLY want to keep cruise control, your F22 throttle body will fit the H22 Intake manifold...but remember, the body and throttle plate of the H22 is quite a bit bigger.

Hope this helps

if you are just swapping the H22 and calling it a day, then source some 5th gen accord axles. They will hold up really well (lasted 4 yrs on my swap before car was stolen - and they were the originals!). Saves you the frustration of the Prelude axles being a c-hair to big w/ the slight modification to make them work.

For you auto to manual swap - do you have a salvage yard or junk yard nearby? more than likely you can go and pick your parts from other 5th gens just sitting there.
