The EVO is nice ... its not too loud, if you are just cruising around in town and not going WOT all the time it is not loud. If you hammer it, the sound will open up .. but it is a good deep sound. Doesn't sound like a buzz can.

Who would want to paint over a tasty looking CF hood? You get the CF hood to reduce weight, then add more weight by painting it? Yeah the weight would be minimal, but still. CF looks so sexy!

I like the look minus the decals, would probably get rims w/ less spokes, I'm not too sure about the carbon fiber hood either besides the weight reduction.
I like the kit, I thought it had a different rear though?

Why get a carbon fiber hood for "weight reduction" and then add a bodykit? That does not make sense to me. I had a carbon fiber hood on my car, and I had it because I liked it. Then I got sick of it, so it is gone.

paint the hood no.. but i know several ppl who wet sand it real lightly and then apply a few coats of clear coat to help the shine and keep it safe

You make a good point, and sometimes I wish I wouldn't have gotten the hood, it put me in a different class in auto cross. (SM over FSP). It's more my preference than anything, I think it looks snazzy.

I would assume that you'd want a little more weight in the rear of the car for a better overall balance; weight distrubution and all.

The kit I got from http://www.modacar.com the headlights I got from a groupbuy off of http://www.groupbuycenter.com and the tailights were from http://www.autodynamic.com
Yes more weight in the rear is a good thing, especially for auto-x, our cars are front end heavy as it is. The kit really didn't add much weight to my car .. it is pretty light.
