Default need help, fuel gauge is acting up.

lately my fuel gauge in my cluster is acting up. here are the sympton. everytime i fill my gas all the way to full (when the gas nozzle clicks), i start up the car it hardly reach the F line. sometime it would be half way and it would go up like if i fill put gas into it. and usually when i turn off the car the needle drops to empty, but now it sometime drop to empty or sometime it drop half way and go back to the gas level when i start the car. does this happen to anyone else. what could be the problem? btw i have a 99 accord 4cyl.

what kind of gas do you use? shell has been known to form a layer of film on the resister grid in your gas tank which will cause inaccurate readings to your gauge.

Chevron is cleanest gas on the market.
