Default Need a bit of advice...

I'm looking at a 97 Accord SE and am wondering whether it'd be worth it to pick it up and fix it up. Here's the ad listing:

Red 1997 Honda Accord SE (Special Edition) for sale $1200 OBO
-Only 164,478 miles
-No minor/major accidents
-Regularly changed oil / tuned up
-Automatic transmission (needs replaced)*
-Body is in great condition
-Interior is in great condition
-Engine is in great shape and sounds good
-Tires replaced around 145k miles and in great shape

*Cannot drive due to the transmission failure. Car in great shape otherwise, no anticipation of transmission failure leading up to it.

So I guess my main concerns would be
- how much (whereabouts) would the repairs cost? I'm thinking it could possibly just be as simple as a blown clutch. Or as complicated as a complete transmission failure haha.
- and in that case, maybe I can convert it to manual, but I'm also not sure about the cost on that.
- maybe I could just swap in a B18 or K20 with respective transmissions, but I'm not sure how well those engines would mate up inside the engine bay and/or how much custom work would need to be done.

I haven't been on h-t in awhile so I'll need to do some digging, but I figure I'd put the question out there and maybe someone can answer my question while I'm looking for answers. Oh yeah, and the pictures (like many pictures) look pretty decent. I'll probably go take a look at it within the next couple weeks or so.
