And your Christmas present is....AN UPDATE...YAYYYYYYY!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I bet yall have been missing me... jk but for those of you who have been wonderin if i dropped off the face of the planet...well i havent (yet)

The car sat in the garage for a loooonnnnngggggggg time cause hunting season was going on and i was busy with school and yada yada excuse excuse....but then one day i had to move it out of the garage to work on something else and while it was out...I washed it. I suddenly got the urge to finnish the lil bastard child and started looking every where for things that could fix the brakelights/park situation. After 15-20 minutes of searching and reading articles i found the brakelight switch that was acting funny. Well tested the switch and plug to the switch and after playing with the switch a little bit we got it working right but no fire was going to the plug...wtf right? well then we said lets look for the fuse....and couldnt figure out which one it was but there were two missing from the fusebox. One said Stop Horn and the other was like electric seat thingy which isnt even on the car so i said wth lets try the stop horn. AND OMG IT WORKED!!! so that was like all of a $2 autozone fix.
The next day we decided to figure out the spiratic idle. We had already changed out the fuel pump and when that didnt work we got pissed and thats pretty much when i quit working on the thing. Once again i started searchin and askin questions and got a "pretty much it can be anything" kinda of answer. Dont you hate those? Anyways i bought an intake gasket kit and was about to replace it when my father decided he didnt want to help with the chore. He decided to try a bunch of other **** first...as usual he said it was a miss in one of the cylinders (which it isnt lol). So we replaced the plugs just to find oil on top of the plugs so we replaced all the valve cover gaskets too. When that didnt fix it he got pissed and went inside to pout but i was not about to give up on the old bitch (the car not my dad) I called my cousin to come over and take a look at it. His exact moves *come over, walk up to car, unplug TPS, WAH-LA!* I started laughing hysterically....So once i get paid again i am to go to autozone and get a TPS and replace it. Now, idk if anything else will have to be done but i am fairly certain thats all that is left to do.

So, there it is. I will try to be a lot better about all this and once she hits the streets, i will actually start to buy lil stuff and make it look like she should. No pictures tonight but i got this new cannon camera from santy clause that i will try out on it once i get it completely finished and post pictures then. Till another 3 months, enjoy :D

JK i will respond by next year

That paint job is absolutely fantastic. Looks tough as nails, with a great shine! Is it just single stage enamel, or is it a base clear?

Nice job on the interior as well. I'm a detailer at a dealership, and I dread cars that come in looking like that.

Thanks man, that interior was hell and when I saw the inside of it and the guy told me to drive it home I was about scared that something was gonna eat me... but the paint is a base clear. There are a few spots that need to be fixed. There is a spot on the hood that isnt really noticable but its extremely rough like sand paper and a fly is stuck in it. Im going to have the guy redo the hood and the passenger side corner of the bumper is peeling off. While they are doing all this I am also going to get them to fill in the holes on the bumper for the front license plate. NC dont make you have front plates and I think that bulky frame is too gody looking to leave on there so still some picky lil things to do but like I said everything will take shape a lot quicker now since I'm not side tracked with hunting

Thanks again guys appreciate the good feed back...I needed some motivation

So its about to rain and the car is filthy from sitting outside with it raining so i figured it would be a marvelous time to take some updated pictures

Those are the "freckles" I'm going to get filled in on the bumper cause I'm picky like that!

You can kinda see how the front bumper doesnt line up exactly and is starting to chip on the corner...something else I'm getting fixed

and now quit trying to wipe the lil dots off your screens cause thats dirt on the car not the screen

and here is a picture of my truck that keeps getting a lot of attention and is pmsing cause im bout to start driving the honda...

Be glad you don't live in a state where those "freckles" would be covered up with a license plate.

streetsidestig: yea i know. I am actually extremely happy i dont live in a state that requires a front license plate cause i can not stand them....I think it takes away from the original look of the car. BUT anyways its alright..

cd7n1nja: thanks man appreciate it

A lil bit of an update finally got my mom to put insurance on the car and hopefully will get plates for it next week, get paid monday so that means that i get to put on my new tps and take it to get inspected...unless the inspection is within 9 months of the day i go to get my plates....

That will probably be the only thing i buy on this paycheck...lil paycheck - tickets to see Brantley Gilbert in Myrtle Beach at The House of Blues for my birthday - TPS and license plates and gas = no money to have fun with

Before you get a tps sensor, clean out the IACV with some carb cleaner. If that doesn't work, check the FITV(fast idle control valve), you might have to tighten it some.

Do yourself a favor and buy yourself a haynes manual. It'll be the best $15 ever spent.

...not being funny or anything but i have a collection of honda haynes manuals....

2 CRX's, an EG civic, and a CB accord...read everything it could be on the accord and we have done almost everything in the trouble shooting area. We arent looking to spend a ton of money on the most expensive repair just to find out that aint it..we have checked the vacuum lines, cleaned the air filter, replaced the fuel pump, and changed the spark plugs and valve cover gaskets....

Ill play with the FITV and tighten it up to see what that does but its a really tempermental car...Its fine when you crank it, but as soon as you tap the throttle it idles very speratically....

Test the tps before you go buy a new one. It could be that it's not set right.
