Looks my my Accord is getting an H22 :P
If any of you remember my story, I was boosted at one point, blew the motor, swapped the motor, and had the new swap "rebuilt" while I was in Iraq.
Well, the guy that "rebuilt" the motor, had the car for somewhere around 3-4 months..... way to f'ing long to rebuild a motor. He charged my wife (working through her grandfather) nearly if not a little more than $3000 for the rebuild. I was pretty unhappy about it, but by the time I found all this out, the car was "finished".
So I get home to the car..... way underpowered, now has an oil leak, and several other problems. So I went to pull the oil pan to make an RTV gasket (I thought maybe the fact that it was an aftermarket oil pan might have caused a leak) and check out what I found.............
Looks like I just went panning for gold!!!
Anyway, I'm talking to this guy on Monday and he's not touching the car again. He can either refund the money in full, or it will go to court and I'll get more out of it than a refund because there is no possible way he rebuilt this motor. My wife going 5-6 months without a reliable vehicle while I'm in Iraq is definitely worth something.

I second that.
Sorry about that. I hope he will refund your money so you can get a new engine.
Good luck.
Dont let that bastard touch any of your cars again.

Yeah, I talked to the guy and he's willing to do ANYTHING to fix the problem. Whether it's rebuilding it again or buying me a new motor. Probably gonna end up with a new motor because I think this ones toast with as much metal came out of the pan.
Anyway, will keep you posted

I hate un-fair, and un-honest techs. it gives a bad name to us all. Sorry for your luck, but at least the guy is willing to make it right. almost looks like he didn't clean up after he honed the cylender walls.
