Default J-series Swap into a 91 Accord

I have searched briefly before posting this and have not found anything on the topic. Does anyone know anything about it? I am considering doing this in my Accord but I dont know where I would start (besides getting the engine and tranny). What are some things I need to complete the swap (ecu, wiring harness) and what are the pros and cons of doing this swap? Any info or links to other posts/sites would help. Thanks!

What is your budget and how handy are you at welding and fabricating? This swap requires some custom engine mounts the complete wire harness and ECU. Swapped drive train, including V6 trans, axles and wheel hubs. There is more I just can't think of all of the mods right off hand.

Pros..... addition of a couple ponies and bragging rights that you shoehorned a V6 into a 21 year old CB7 chassis.

Cons..... Not really cost effective and very time consuming for the end result.

Well Ive found a J35 for $1100: http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com/hond...nly-99-04.html
But. the problem is i have never found the manual tranny for it anywhere. I read that only about %5 of all the J engines were manual so im guessing itll be like $2k.
Basically I would be swapping the entire front end motor-wise (obviously not the body). but like everything out to the wheels?

and @Hidenplanvew: I know itd be easier but thats not what im going for (not yet lol)

If I remember correctly the Acura CL type S 6 speed works or something.. I think you have to do custom mounts, axles, wire harness... But I think your looking at another 1k for the trans unless you can find it in the junk yard.

There's someone who did it in a CD7. I know it's a different chassis, but it's always good to have multiple people to ask. http://www.hondasociety.com/board/sh...d.php?t=151638

alex did the swap in his cd for a decent amount cheaper than a k swap and its the complete type-s swap...but yes it is very time consuming and isnt recommended unless you have some serious patients and time

you could not be more wrong...it is in no way cheaper than a h22 swap and it definitely in no way easier than a h22 swap

even if there were a mount kit to swap a j into a accord than it would still be way harder than the basically bolt in h22

lol... he said "It would be easir and cheaper to do a H22.." Not that it would be easier to do the J swap.....lol

IMO a K series is a large headache for a swap. With the F23 and H22 as drop in swaps with tones of cheaper tuning options. The K series isn't even a thought in my mind. I'd do a J or C swap before I'd do a K swap.
