Default Intakes....?

Im looking into getting an intake for my 2000 accord v6 automatic, and i see that AEM sells a bunch of CAI for around 250.00 and then a second version that has automatic transmission as an option but for 340.00 so could someone enlighten me on wheather or not i need to get an AUTO specific intake for my automatic accord or will any intake work.

thanks.

Yeah, all V6 6th gen accords are automatic from factory.

Are there any short rams available; should be? I would use that instead of CAI.

We;; Honestly I kinda screwed up on my intake a little, but I don't regret it cuz I'm more of a fan of short rams. I bought an original AEM CAI from ebay for $120/shipped and got it cut to a short ram so I wouldn't have to get a bypass valve installed for hydro-lock.

Here's what It looks like now.

TX is nothing, but flat land with terrible roads and sewage system. Not to mention we're having snow and very bad puddles everywhere....TX isn't as dry as you think....

nope...lol As I said in that post Im a noob. I'm 50/50 on the work in some aspects. 1 floods here are bad....today I hit 2 big puddles where the whole street was flooded and my engine got wet as I could see all the smoke. 2 cutting the intake I think made it a bit useless....shoulda just gotten short ram to begin with.

Haha it's no biggie man, actually you can just treat it like a 2 piece CAI and toss on one of the rubber couplings in the middle

OR get the bypass valve that fits between two of the pipes.

man dont buy anything, i own a 6g as well, but in 5mt and with a red top H22A swap

but i made a custum ram air intake with abou 25 bucks from home depot....

the ram air scoop fits perfectly ina hole in the bumper to the left of the radiator, so it's actually ram air, way cheaper than anything you can buy, and the gains were VERY noticeble, especially at high speeds.... i can peg the speedo quick (granted it's a modded JDM H22A) and still have about 1500rpm of usable power band left... 150 starts getting a a little scary, so i usually get off it right after i touch the end of the speedo.....

the car is quick, i ran a C4 vette a couple weeks ago, from 60 up, and i hung dead even with him until 140-ish, and then he slowly walked away....i got off at 145ish once i realized i wasnt gonna catch him...
