Why do you need to actively disable the system if an option is to replace it? What is wrong? I ask because if there is a problem that requires you to "replace it", the problem has probably already disabled the system for you.

You can just unplug the ABS modulator under the hood so the ABS is on which then disables the system.

I want to remove mine; since, it is no longer working. I do want to clean up the engine bay, so that it's alot cleaner and makes more room for my HID ballasts on the driverside.

You want to remove the ABS, or disable it entirely because your back brakes won't lock up? What are you talking about?

Just remove the whole system..you'll need a non-abs prop valve

You want your rear brakes to lock up in a FWD car to be the 'drift king' ?

Sell your Accord and just buy a 240......

I'm assuming that's why he wants to lock up the rears and call him 'D.K.' I don't believe Donkey Kong holds any relevance with cars

Call it what you will but what you are doing is not, nor will it ever, be called drifting. Honda skidz, parking lot slides or maybe ebrake U turns.

lol I love ritarded threads like these..... It seems to be approximately 90%, if not more, of what the new H-T market is all about.

How do I make my FWD Family Sedan a drift car or how do I change my ignition to shoot flames out the exhaust.......

flames would be a lil extreme...and my car is a coupe. i dont see why the critisism over FWD drifting. i mean yea RWD is fun but thats too easy. only a skilled driver can work a FWD in the same manner.

Spinning rear wheels does NOT = sliding locked up rear wheels. You really need to re-evaluate many aspects of your life if you think it is the same.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_(motorsport)
in the "Car" section on that page it says "FWD cars do qualify for entrance into some drifting events, but are rarely used due to the lack of parity between FWD and RWD cars." get your facts straight b4 you attempt to make me look stupid

you might want to read up on what drifting is judged upon...its what you do, not how you do it smart guys

shadetree101: don't expect to say anything on this forum without getting a ton of **** about it. its just the way the people on here are. but in return for dealing with people's criticism you get free, unbiased, and pretty knowledgeable information, so don't get too frustrated. also i would recommend trying a Scandinavian flick. it has given me some pretty good over-steer and you don't need to lock up your rear wheels. as for removing the abs, i can't tell you anything for sure, sorry and good luck!
other people: he didn't ask for your opinions on drifting. he just wants to know how to get rid of his abs.

No one cares about what Wikipedia says. FWD drifting is not the same as RWD drifting. Dragging your rear wheels and calling it drifting is extremely lame to most people (no, most people do not share your opinion), regardless of what the rules are in a Formula D competition.

If you are the drift master, you should be able to remove all the ABS components and run new brake lines rather easily.

Wiki page...seriously!

No need for anyone to attempt this, your doing just fine on your own!

According to the Formula Drift wiki, the FD does not allow FWD cars to compete.......Wiki Fact!

Note: In the SCCA Drifting rules "It is suggested that regions only allow RWD (rear-wheel drive vehicles) to enter any drift event."

Page 5; http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source...wS2KYFE7ToKS2A

It's only suggested, However, I can only imagine how ritarded one would look going up against any RWD car in a FWD Accord. Or do you go sliding around corners with other FWD cars during intermissions?
