How to separate 2pc inner hub from brake rotor-disc
90-97 Accord
I read the FAQ on for the 90-97 front brakes. But I dont think anyone is looking at that anymore for the purpose of answering questions, so I deleted my question at the end of the FAQ to post it here.
How did you separate the rotor/disc from the two piece inner hub assembly after you get it off of the control arm area? Does the disc just come right off easy then? ... Do The gold colored hex head bolts that are recessed in the outer rotor face get removed in order to get the disc/rotor off? Is there any precautions with the inner bearing(s) coming apart or is it a one piece unit as it appears to be in the HSM?

99% of the time once you remove the hub from the bearing you will need new bearings. might as well just budget for them.
the slide hammer, a sledge hammer or a press will be what you need to separate the hube and bearing.

I want to get the brake rotor off the hub, so I can install new rotors.

haha I did this job early this year. I put in slotted drill rotors. you basically need a hub puller. you can get from auto-zone. its a talon grip that grips behind the rotors while screwing the middle to pull it out. then the 4 lug on the front separates the rotor and hub.

Confused, if you have the hub, bearing and rotor off the car????
The bearing does not have to come off to get the rotor off.....of course the four bolts going thru the hub into the rotor have to be removed, then it will either fall off or a tap with a big friendly hammer and done.
EDIT: search for this 5xIUAMl-oRQ
