How long do I need to wait for the prices of the 2003 accord to go down ?
I went to the honda dealer today to buy my wife the new accord, and the dealer wants the window sticker price. How long do I need to wait where the demand isn't so high and I can buy it near invoice?

umm wait until the 2004 model comes out, seriously...when a dealer comes out with a new MY car, they want to get the most out of it. once they get newer models, they discount the older model so they can get it off their lots.

Try this...
E-mail or call every Honda dealer within an acceptable radius and ask the Fleet or Internet Sales Manager for their best price on an '03 Accord, trim level xx, with xx accesories. Tell them you will buy the car NOW if the price is right.
Once you get the lowest price, go back around to the rest of the dealers and ask them to beat the price. Repeat as required.
Eventually you'll either get cussed out or get the lowest price. Please be fair and honest with the dealers and be serious about buying. Do some homework first so you know the dealer's invoice and other important numbers to judge how good your deal may be.
Good luck. It worked great for me twice so far. Best part was I never set foot into the dealership until I inspected the car and signed the paperwork.

Hmm...you should be able to get one for a discounted price now. I got mine (2003 Accord 4dr 5 speed manual) for 17,600 + at the end of October. Generaly around Labor Day in September is when the '04's will be in full swing and the dealerships will be trying to get rid of the '03's.
