Best bet would be to do all of the regular maintenance. Also make sure that your brakes and suspension are good to go before you start looking for more power.
What is your budget and how mechanically inclined are you? The usual intake, header & exhaust bolt-on mods don't add much power to a stock block. They definitely make it sound more aggressive though.
What model and year Accord do you have. There some engine part swaps that could get you a few more ponies if you have a 90-93.

Re: honda performance
I'll be honest, Your not going to get much power with the non VTEC F22B2. Unless you want to get into replacing internals. IE the camshaft. Maybe do an F23 intake manifold swap. If I remember correctly there are videos on youtube on how to do that swap.
Other than that you could save up the cash and do an H22 & 5spd M/transmission swap.

Re: honda performance
5spd H22A vs Automatic F22B2.... Apples and oranges. The DOHC H22 is 60hp more to the ground off the hop. It also responds a bit better to bolt on modifications. However it comes at a price. A good condition used H22A complete swap can cost anywhere from $1200-$2500. There are a few popular Japanese H22 engines out there. H22A, H22A Type S, H22A Euro R. and then there is the European H22A7 From the Accord Type-R.
