Default honda engines

are honda engines designed to take a lot of stress at a high rpm for long periods such as autobahn driving?

There's really no standard answer for that question.
It's all about philosophy, Mr Hondas' has always been Horsepower from small packages by spinning the Cra...p out of them. They regularly live in the 4-5000rpm range, which is far higher than most Domestic Engines. They are far more durable than Domestics, regularly going 250-300,000 miles b4 anything distasteful happens. And given that they are (in most incidents undersquare (stroke is greater than Bore), installing oversized sleeves and pistons can make it even better.
It's all about what you want to do with it.

Yep, Mr Adams is correct.....the honda engine is pushing oil and oil pressure at it's max when the engine is running 3-5k rpms.
An old friend of mine worked at a salvage yard, he would drain the oil out of engines and run them at WOT to see what engine would die first. He won thousands in side bets by betting on the honda every time.
Rev that engine, I've run around 4500 rpm-about 110 mph interstate driving for over 6 hours at a stretch with a 92 accord....no problems. But you should understand my engine only has 237,000 miles on it.

I usually make long trips at no less than 100... sometimes 110 or 115... and holding that for 1 or 2 hours seem not to make my little f22b tired....

I'd really like to see where you can drive that fast for such extended periods without ever having to slow down due to traffic as well as various other factors.

Had an 89 Prelude 2.0l vtec. Drove the snot out of that thing.
Commuted to mid Michigan from Toronto alot. 5 hrs at 100mph is easy to do.
Just don't get a ticket. I was lucky.
I sold that car with 300,000km and it hardly burned oil. I kept up with the maintenance faithfully and I never ever let it get low on any fluids.
Really miss that car.

Accord engines werent really built for high revving.

RSX motors were.

TSX motors weren't really built for high revving.

Integra motors were.

It depends on the engine.

The larger engines make more torque from the start, and don't need to rev high to make the power to move the car. They're designed as 'brute force' engines to move the 3000 lb+ cars around.

The smaller engines are built for high revving. They give you the illusion of going fast

Does any one know how i could remap a mugen accord v6 ecu. My accord engine is built with an immobilizer and the ecu is not programmed to work with that. Hence it does not start as the immobilizer code has to be provided by the ecu for it to start.
Can any one help.. pls

I got the mugen kit from japan.. body kit + exhaust + ecu.
