honda accord 2001
I having problems changing the balancer belt.
I removed the balancer belt but I forgot to lock the rear balanced shaft with (6 by 100 mm) bolt and the balance shaft sprocket moved and I don't know what the original position of the sprocket was.
My Q. is does the rear sprocket on the balance shaft need to be in a timed position with the front balanced shaft sprocket and crank shaft.
how can i attempt to move the balanced shaft sprocket back to the original balanced shaft alignment position or did i ruin my oil pump?

in addition to using the bolt in the maintenance hole, the gear also has a dot that you can line up with a mark. It should be around the 4 o'clock position iirc.
and yes, everything should be aligned correctly.
